(Hepatitis C Infection)

We provide information, resource materials, support and education services to those affected by Hepatitis C. Our region of primary focus is the North Island, roughly two thirds of New Zealand’s population.

We also offer an 0800 support line (0800 224 372), educational programmes and resources, publish a quarterly newsletter and support to a number of local peer support groups. Newsletters and information packs can be provided nationally, on request.

Peer Support:

Peer support links people living with a chronic condition such as Hepatitis C (HCV). People with a common illness are able to share knowledge and experiences – including some that many health workers do not have.

Peer support is frequent, ongoing, accessible and flexible. Peer support can take many forms – phone calls, text messaging, group meetings, home visits, going for walks together, and even grocery shopping. It complements and enhances other health care services by creating the emotional, social and practical assistance necessary for managing the disease and staying healthy.

If you would like help, please contact the office on Auckland (09) 377 8500 or outside Auckland 0800 224 372  Office hours are 9am-5.30pm . We would love to hear from you.
